Barbara Roth

MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Barbara A. Roth, 83, of Marble Hill died Saturday. Oct. 28, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born on Sept. 8, 1934, in Quincy, Illinois, she was the daughter of Albert C. and Kathryn Echternkamp Pond. She married William D. Roth on July 6, 1957, at Wiener, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2007.

She worked for Cartiographic Draftsman in St. Louis, but joined her husband building a construction company and later three service stations. In 1967, they purchased property in Bollinger County, Missouri, and built Whippoorwill Lake. They retired in 2000.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, Missouri.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Stephanie Fasano of St. Louis, and three grandchildren, Ted, Zach and Adrianna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son, Douglas Roth.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
