Barbara Elizabeth Ramsey, 76, of Jackson died Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at her home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1948, in Lavalle to William Monroe and Ruth McKinney Isaacks. She and Billy Ramsey were married July 27, 1968, in Risco. They just celebrated their 56th anniversary.
Barbara loved her family, Jesus and the Cardinals. She liked to play with her honeybees. She enjoyed visiting relatives. She enjoyed working with the people at RM Coco, where she was a seamstress.
She was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela (Terry) Baylor of Oak Ridge; two sons, Billy (Amy) Ramsey Jr. of Jackson and Chadwick Ramsey of Jackson; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kevin) Buchheit of Old Appleton, Breanna Baylor of Oak Ridge, Alyssa Ramsey of Jackson, Blake Ramsey of Jackson, Sebastian Ramsey of Jackson and Kiara Ramsey of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, William (Frieda) Isaacks of Florida and James (Debbie) Isaacks of Portageville; five sisters, Margaret Slusher of Marston, Ruthie Isaacks of Marston, Linda (Sam) Miller of Martson, Janet Pritchard of Marston and Wanda (Tony) Handlin of Michigan; and brother-in-law, Jim Helton of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George (Ruby) Isaacks; three sisters, Joann Helton, Laura Isaacks and Ferbie Isaacks; and two brothers-in-law, Charlie Pritchard and Boyd Slusher.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will continue from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Arbor General Baptist Church.
