Barbara Mae Miller, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 17, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Orville and C. Mae Seabaugh. She and Hershel Miller were married Aug. 8, 1970, in Cape Girardeau.
Barbara was a 1971 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She was a beloved math teacher for 25 years at Jackson High School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member since 1962, and was a very active volunteer at the church. She was also a very skilled quilter since her retirement from teaching.
Survivors include her husband, Hershel Miller; two sons, Jeff Miller of Sharpsburg, Georgia, and Greg (Fawn) Miller of Galveston, Texas; sister, Brenda Connelly of Youngsville, North Carolina; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Linda Gastreich officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
