ADVANCE -- Barbara Joan Cobb Lynn, 57, of Advance died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter. She was born June 5, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Howard Ivan and Lois Myrtle Davis Cobb. She and Danny Lynn were married Sept. 27, 1969, at Chaffee...

ADVANCE -- Barbara Joan Cobb Lynn, 57, of Advance died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born June 5, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Howard Ivan and Lois Myrtle Davis Cobb. She and Danny Lynn were married Sept. 27, 1969, at Chaffee.

Lynn was director of nursing at Chaffee General Hospital from 1970-77, and registered nurse and house manager at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston since 1977. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Roger Slinkard of Del City, Okla.; two daughters, Cheryl Moll of Portland, Texas, Danielle Lynn of Chesterfield; a brother, Harold G. Cobb of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Jean Schoen of Florissant, Marilyn Reece of Murray, Ky., Paula Dover of Columbia; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
