CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Barbara Mary Landewee, 90, of Chaffee died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 14, 1914, in Bollinger County, daughter of William H. and Anna Hinkebein Vandeven. She and Frank John Landewee were married April 14, 1937. He died Feb. 2, 1993.
Landewee was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, Legion of Mary and St. Ann's Sodality. She was a 4-H leader many years.
Survivors include three sons, Harold and Jerome Landewee of Oran, Mo., Irvin Landewee of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Patricia Kern, Mary Glastetter and Bernice Kern of New Hamburg, Carolyn Leitle of Aurora, Mo.; a sister, Martha DeBrock of Marble Hill, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7, with Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:15.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
