SIKESTON -- Barbara Greer, 65, formerly of Valencia and Palm Desert, Calif., and Sikeston, died Friday, Nov. 15, 1996, at Rancho Mirage Health Care Center in Palm Springs. She was born May 8, 1931, at Belle, daughter of Robert Logan and Winifred Hulen Guthrie. She and Bill Greer were married Nov. 22, 1949. He died Nov. 9, 1979...

SIKESTON -- Barbara Greer, 65, formerly of Valencia and Palm Desert, Calif., and Sikeston, died Friday, Nov. 15, 1996, at Rancho Mirage Health Care Center in Palm Springs.

She was born May 8, 1931, at Belle, daughter of Robert Logan and Winifred Hulen Guthrie. She and Bill Greer were married Nov. 22, 1949. He died Nov. 9, 1979.

Greer taught school 28 years, retiring in Las Vegas, Nev.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Greer of Palm Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
