SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Barbara Louise Brashear of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City is in charge of arrangements.

Brashear, 54, died Sunday, April 21, 1996, at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Oran, daughter of John and Ruth Thomas Diebold. She married Dick Brashear Jan. 20, 1960, in Chester, Ill.

Brashear was a member of St. Joseph Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and St. Joseph Council 6420.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Rick Brashear of Enterprise, Fla., Mike Brashear of St. Peters, Scott Brashear of Scott City; two daughters, Becky McMillan of Cape Girardeau, Barbie Simpson of Scott City; a brother, Gene Diebold of Scott City; a sister, Johnetta McConnell of Scott City, and 10 grandchildren.
