Barbara Bower, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Ratliff Care Center. She was born May 3, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Jesse and Letha Brasher Stoffel. She first married Carl Hahs, and he preceded her in death in 1965. She and John Bower were married Aug. 11, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2019...

Barbara Bower, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born May 3, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Jesse and Letha Brasher Stoffel.

She first married Carl Hahs, and he preceded her in death in 1965. She and John Bower were married Aug. 11, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2019.

She was a cook at Cape Christian School and Daycare. She was a charter member of Bethel Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Little of Cape Girardeau; a son, Randy Hahs of Cape Girardeau; extended family, the Rev. J.C. and Theresa Moore of Farmington, Missouri; a sister, Connie DeBrock of Glennon, Missouri; a brother, Bill Stoffel of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Amy Slinkard, Casey Little, Jay Moore, Benji Hahs, Jeremy Hahs and Jason Hahs; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Patsy Hahs; two brothers, Danny and Larry Stoffel; three infant siblings; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Roop and the Rev. J.C. Moore officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
