AVIS REED

Avis Reed, 81, of Paoli, Pa., died Friday, Nov. 8, 1991, at her home.

She was born in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Thomas P. and Lillie Towle Russell. She married Robert J. Reed, who preceded her in death.

Reed attended Southeast Missouri State University, Columbia Teachers College, and the Sorbonne in Paris.

She had lived in Pennsylvania 33 years. She was a teacher, retiring in 1975. Reed was a member of St. Peter's Church in Malvern, Pa.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Reed Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., John Reed of Huntington, N.Y., and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be private.

Mauger/Givnish Funeral Home of Malvern is in charge of arrangements.
