Aurelia Robert

NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Aurelia L. "Rella" Robert, 95, of New Hamburg died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Oct. 31, 1918, in New Hamburg, to Martin and Bertha Gerst Glastetter. She married William B. Robert on Jan. 11, 1938, in New Hamburg. He preceded her in death June 3, 1988.

Aurelia was an inspector at Thorngate and also a cook at Kelso, Missouri, schools. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality and New Hamburg Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma (Gene) Seyer of New Hamburg and Shirley (Larry) Williams of Scott City; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Parks; and nine brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at St. Lawrence Church. The rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
