AUGUST C. "DUDE" HEISLER JR.

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for August C. "Dude" Heisler Jr. of Cape Girardeau will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Heisler died Friday at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau, where he had lived for the past 3 years. He was 77.

He was born Dec. 6, 1913 in Cape Girardeau County, the son of August C. Heisler Sr. and Anna McGinnis Heisler.

On Feb. 19, 1933 he married the former Delma Heuer in Cape Girardeau County. She preceded him in death Dec. 15, 1965. He then married the former Cathelien Browning in 1966. She survives.

He had been a farmer in Cape Girardeau County since he was 15. He also was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape.

Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Tobin of Spokane, Wash. and Brenda Stoklas of Plattsburg; a sister, Mrs. Marybelle Jenkins of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Beverly and Barbara Stoklas of Plattsburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Heisler in November 1966, and a sister, Lillian Schmidt
