CHAFFEE -- Audrey "Smokey" Lynn, 77, Chaffee Route 1, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1992, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 9, 1915, at Sikeston, son of William and Lillie Thompson Lynn. He and Iva Whorton were married May 22, 1943.
Lynn retired 15 years ago as construction foreman at Noranda Aluminum. He attended First Baptist Church at Delta, and was a member of American Legion Post 389 here. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James and Steve Lynn of Chaffee, Forrest "Red" Lynn, Chaffee Route 1; two daughters, Bonnie Brown and Kay Hampton of Delta; two brothers, Walter Lynn, Chaffee Route 1, Robert Lynn of Granville; a sister, Fern Crowden, Chaffee Route 2; 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, sister and two grandsons.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Glen Golden will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
