MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Audrey Hanners, age 76, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 9, 1944, in Lutesville, Missouri, daughter of Roy and Mable Yount James. She and Bob C. Hanners were united in marriage on Dec. 24, 1960, near Lutesville, and he passed away June 2, 2007.
Audrey worked for Jackson Wal-Mart in the garden center and attended church with her children.
Survivors include her sons, Scott (Tammy) Hanners, Buck (Glenda) Hanners and Terry (Cindy) Hanners, all of Marble Hill; daughters, Kim (Mike) Moyers and Lisa (Punk) Cook, both of Marble Hill; brothers, Jim Dowd of Glen Allen, Missouri; C.J. James of Patton, Missouri; and Billy Joe James of Florida; sisters, Colleen Cook of Marble Hill and Norma Kalal of Patton; grandchildren, Trisha Swope, Hannah Cook, Rick Hanners, Lucas Cook, Mary Bollinger, Caitlin Fox, Laura Parks, Tate Hanners and Bonnie Hanners; great-grandchildren, Kaden Cook, Kale Cook, Sara Swope, Cylas Hanners, Kizzie Cook, Kash Cook, Jessa Bollinger, Ava Cook, Waylon Fox, Lizzy Cook, Will Fox, and soon-to-arrive Caroline Addison Parks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hanners; parents, Roy and Mable James; brother, Darrell James; and great-granddaughter, Lily Michelle Cook.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Visitation will continue at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Revs. Steve Sander and Scott Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
