EAST PRAIRIE -- Audie Poynor Powers, 87, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1994, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1906, in Arkansas, daughter of E.V. and Stella Ward Ginn. She and O.M. Powers were married in 1950. He died May 12, 1976.
Powers was a member of the Assembly of God Church here.
Survivors include a son, John Poyner of Tamms, Ill; a daughter, Bernice Wheatley of East Prairie; three stepsons, Vernon Poynor of Granite City, Ill., Edd Poynor of Kewanee, Raymond Powers of East Prairie; a stepdaughter, Emma Crutchlow of Houston, Texas; a brother, Eulous Ginn of Batesville, Miss.; a sister, Nobie Downing of Kennett; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home here after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Cemetery.
