Aubrey Dennis

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Aubrey C. Dennis, 89, of Chaffee, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 6, 1913, at Caney, Mo., son of James Lafayette and Delpha Cecilia Good Dennis. He and Mary White were married Nov. 23, 1931.

Dennis was a retired bricklayer who was employed by Brick Layer Local No. 1 in St. Louis. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles W. Dennis of Festus, Mo., and Robert Dennis of Chaffee; a daughter, Marilyn Dohogne of Cape Girardeau; a brother, John A Dennis of Florida; a sister, Mildred Bell of Chaffee; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

Friends may call today after 5 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
