SIKESTON, Mo. -- Aubrey Dean "Arb" Cox, 76, of Owensville, Mo., formerly of Sikeston, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo.

He was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Sikeston, to Alton Greenville and Mary Alice Williams Cox. He and Loretta "Sue" Pace were married May 20, 1956, in Hernando, Miss.

Cox retired as a manager with General Motors in the St. Louis area.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Aubrey "Lee" (Katheryn) Cox of Ballwin, Mo., Jimmy Dale (Pam) Cox of Owensville; two brothers, Doug Cox of Canton, Texas, Joe Yant of Morehouse, Mo.; two sisters, Verna Davis of Sikeston, Sue Little of Garland, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, three sisters and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Kenny Strong officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery with full military honors.
