SIKESTON, Mo. -- Arzelia E. Jones, 80, of Sikeston died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of Auston and Susie Organ Haley.
Jones was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Patsy Clark and Brenda Jones of Sikeston, Alene Straghter of East St. Louis, Ill., Helen Jones of Cape Girardeau, Maggie Jones of Farmington, Mo., Annette Clark of St. Louis; eight sons, Southern Jones II, Fred Wims and Leon Jones of Sikeston, Bobby and Larry Jones of St. Louis, Joe, Richard and Tony Jones of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are three sisters, Bernice Flye and Erma Walker of Sikeston, Janet Miller of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, Joe and Eugene Haley of Cape Girardeau, Cletus Haley of Sikeston, John Lucas of Moberly, Mo.; 54 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Travelers Rest Church from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Sylvester Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston, Mo.
Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
