CHARLESTON -- Arvel J. Howard, 81, of Charleston, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at Charleston Manor.
He was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Burfordville, son of Emery J. and Clara Edith Kinder Howard.
Howard was employed by General Motors 29 years, retiring in 1974. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a brother, L.T. Howard, and a sister, Maxine Taylor, both of Charleston.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
