ANNA, Ill. -- A memorial service for Arthur Goodman of Anna will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Elder Earl Smith and the Rev. Scott Harner will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Goodman, 76, died Sunday, June 18, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 14, 1924, at Cobden, Ill., son of Arthur F. and Gladys E. Grace Goodman.

Goodman had managed Rechters in Anna and retired from Old American Insurance Co.

He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Goodman of Cape Girardeau, Gary Goodman of Jonesboro; a daughter, Tina Jackson of Jonesboro; a sister, Corinne Rich of Cobden; two brothers, Gene and Clyde "Pug" Goodman of Cobden; and five granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
