EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Arthur E. Davis, 83, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Hickman, Ky., son of Arthur Elmer and Fannie Belle Weatherspoon Davis. He and Martha Furgerson were married Feb. 11, 1939, in Charleston, Mo.
Davis was a retired construction worker and member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Davis of East Prairie; three daughters, Betty Huff and Barbara Riggins of East Prairie, Wilma Alford of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call today from 8:30 a.m. to service time at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Steven Domingue officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
