PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Arnold B. Jarnot Sr., 69, of Perryville died Monday, July 9, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 17, 1938, in Mittweida, Germany, son of Gertrude Rau Simon. He and Jeanette "Darlene" Fisher were married Aug. 22, 1987.
Jarnot was an auto body technician with Maudlin International Truck Inc. He was a member of American Legion in Florida, and United Auto Workers Union.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph Jarnot of Poinciana, Fla.; two daughters, Debbie Martin of Delmar, Md., Darlene Wingo of Macomb, Ill.; five stepdaughters, Juanita Paul of Macomb, Kim Sheetz of Knoxville, Ill., Linda Koenig of St. Mary, Mo., Deborah Johnson of Wisconsin and Perryville, and Michele VanBebber of Springfield, Ill.
Also two stepsons, Myron VanBebber of Macomb, Mitch VanBebber of Colchester, Ill.; a half sister, Gerda Benkert of Germany, 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 14 stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, two sons and a half brother.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at Dodsworth-Piper Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb.
Young and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
