ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Arnold M. Gerler, 91, of Altenburg, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 14, 1913, in Altenburg, son of Martin and Emma Mueller Gerler. He married Flora Marie Seibel July 2,1943. She died Jan. 1, 1999.
He was a farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Hall of Pawleys Island, S.C., and a son, Charles Gerler of Altenburg; a brother, Vernon "Sam" Gerler of Altenburg; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. A military graveside service will be provided at the church cemetery by American Legion Post 133.
