BIEHLE, Mo. -- Arnold W. Ernst, 78, of Biehle died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 9, 1927, at Biehle, son of Joseph L. and Anna Zoellner Ernst. He and Margaret C. Wibbenmeyer married May 21, 1949, at Apple Creek, Mo.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy Hagan and Denise Jones, both of St. Louis; three sons, Larry Ernst of Biehle, Ronnie Ernst of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Michael Ernst of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Anna Mae Blanc of St. Louis; six brothers, Joseph O. Ernst, Stanley Ernst, Donald Ernst, Tom Ernst and Ed Ernst, all of St. Louis, Bernard Ernst of Perryville; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be at 7 p.m., followed by an American Legion service. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Monday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Maurus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with graveside rites by American Legion Post 133.
