BENTON, Mo. -- Arlie Wesley "Dub" Houck, 84, of Benton died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 17, 1926, in Fornfelt, to William Henry and Minnie Porter Houck. He married Barbara Joan Smith on May 18, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
He was a Church of God minister.
Houck served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alan Houck of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Linda Adams of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.
