ADVANCE -- Arley "Sarge" Fowler, 70, of Advance, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1993, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 28, 1923, in Advance, son of George and Bertie Pohlman Fowler.
Fowler was a machinist. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and charter and life member of Advance Memorial VFW Post 7750. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include four brothers, Donel and Myrl Fowler of Advance, Robert and Ralph Fowler of Montgomery, Ill.; five sisters, Ruby VanGennip, Jewell Umfleet and Mildred Harnes of Advance, Lucille Tippett of Buckeye, Ariz., and Dorothy Jones of St. Ann.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery at Schlatitz, with military graveside rites to be conducted.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
