Arlene M. Horky, 75, 801 Normal, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at her home.
She was born June 30, 1919, in Rose Hill, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Mary Culver Johannes. She and Arthur A. Horky were married May 10, 1940, in St. Louis.
The Horkys moved to Cape Girardeau in 1950. After raising her children she received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University. She taught 12 years at Egyptian School near Tamms, Ill.
Horky was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bradford Horky of St. Louis, Craig Horky of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Post of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Marguerite Ross of Washington, Mo.; a brother, L.C. Johannes of Newton, Iowa, and three grandchildren.
There is no visitation or service.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
