CHARLESTON -- Arlene Hall, 83, of Charleston died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 6, 1916, at Inverness, daughter of Pleas and Lillie Harris Starks. She was married to L.G. Hall. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Grand Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Albert Starks of Buffalo, N.Y., L.G. Hall and Ross Starks, both of Chicago, Freddie Hall and Henry Hall, both of Charleston; four daughters, Emma Van Winkle of Chicago, Frankie Reed, Rosalyn Anderson and Donna Riggens, all of Charleston; a brother, Freddie Starks of Charleston; a sister, Leola Cothran of Charleston; 60 grandchildren; and 72 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, two daughters, a grandson, three sisters and nine brothers.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sparks Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Mercy Seat Baptist Church. The Rev. Furman Fordham II will officiate with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
