JONESBORO, Ill. -- Archa Mosley, 85, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1916, at Buncombe, Ill., daughter of George and Arista Ragsdale Mozley. She and John Owen Stanley were married June 14, 1936, in Ullin, Ill. He died Nov. 7, 1961. She later married Marion Mosley April 8, 1972, in Anna, Ill.
Mosley was a bookkeeper at Union County Hospital more than 20 years. She was a member of Anna Church of Christ, Johnson County Historical Society, and Johnson County Home Extension.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, J.O. Stanley of St. Cloud, Fla., George Stanley of Alhambra, Ill., Lendyl Mosley of Cisco, Ill., Bill Mosley of Davie, Fla.; eight daughters, Betty Jones of Buncombe, Phyllis Myers of Paducah, Ky., Frances Cobb of Marion, Ill., Jane Bullock of Carlyle, Ill., Vera Foster of Hollywood, Fla., Rosa Basler of Anna, Ramona Themig of Auburn, Ill., Wilda Young of Karbers Ridge, Ill.; a sister, Georgia Gumm of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Anna Church of Christ, with John Shelton and Westley Hazel officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Johnson County, Ill.
