Anton "Tony" Heuring, 83, of 1511 Bloomfield Road, died Saturday, June 5, 1993, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1909, in Kelso, to Frank and Veronica Hoefler Heuring.
On Nov. 21, 1932, he married Clara S. LeGrand in New Hamburg. She preceded him in death on June 17, 1988.
Survivors include one son, Paul Heuring of Cape Girardeau and one daughter, Dolores Lynch of St. Charles. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and five brothers.
Heuring worked as a mate on a towboat for Marquette Cement Manufacturing Co. of Cape Girardeau. He retired in 1965 after 22 years of service. Heuring was a member of St. Mary Cathedral Church of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., today, at Ford and Sons South Sprigg Street Chapel. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m., today at the chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, at St. Mary Cathedral Church, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
