FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Anton F. Stortz Jr., 62, of Fredericktown died Friday, April 4, 2008, at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
He was born Sept. 17, 1945, son of Anton F. and Luvina B. Geringer Stortz Sr.
Stortz worked as a carpenter and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by a son, Jay Stortz of Jackson; a daughter, Dewanna Brown; two sisters, Anna Marie Brown and Lorena Wibbenmeyer, both of Perryville, Mo.; a brother Leo Stortz of Vancouver, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel.
The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.
