Anton J. "Tony" Ziegler, 91, 2118 Bloomfield Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 17, 1901, at Kelso, son of Louis A. and Theresa Fischer Ziegler. He and Emma Burger were married May 25, 1926. She died March 1, 1954.
Ziegler was a retired cement finisher, and had worked for Jim Stovall Superior Concreters. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Knights of Columbus Council 1111, and member of the former St. Joseph School Association.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur Ziegler of Benton, Anthony Ziegler of St. Louis; a daughter, Dolores Ziegler of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Frances Felter of Cape Girardeau, Josephine Robert of Kelso, Clara Schramm of Benton; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Michael Zoellner will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 2-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30.
