CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Annis Tanner Simpson, 79, of Charleston died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at East Prairie Nursing Center in East Prairie, Mo.
She was born Oct. 4, 1921, in New Madrid County, daughter of L.E. and Lula Cummins Byers. She first married T.H. Tanner, who died June 7, 1994. She later married Larry Simpson.
Simpson lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Bertrand, Mo.
Survivors include her husband of Handel, Nova Scotia, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
