ADVANCE, Mo. -- Annie Faye "Maw Faye" Tillman, 87, of Advance died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 2, 1919, in Adamsville, Tenn., daughter of James Arthur and Zola McGarity Barnes. She and Troy V. Tillman were married Oct. 30, 1937, in Stantonville, Tenn.
Tillman had been a cook at Wright's Cafe, Bell City Nursing Home, Bell City Schools, Sinclair Station, Gardner's Cafe and Woodard's. She was a member of Bell City General Baptist Church, Ladies Aid and a volunteer with Vacation Bible School many years.
Survivors include five daughters, Chris Hicks of Charleston, Mo., Linda Frost of Rolla, Mo., Wanda Bond, Rebecca Talley and Clara Cockrell of Bell City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, a brother, a grandson and a stepgrandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Codis James officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
