ANNIE FURGERSON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Annie Adeline Furgerson, 82, of East Prairie died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 4, 1917, in the Sugartree community near East Prairie, daughter of William and Maude Mae Anderson Newman. She and William F. Furgerson were married May 31, 1936. He died Dec. 22, 1992.

Furgerson lived in East Prairie all her life. She worked at Budget Laundry several years, and was a member of St. James General Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Manuel Furgerson of Lorraine, Ohio, George, Charles and William "Bill" Furgerson of East Prairie; a brother, William Newman of Joliet, Ill.; two sisters, Lillie Proffer of Sikeston, Daisy Brumley of Marble Hill; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister.

There is no visitation or service.
