EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Annie Davis of East Prairie will be held at 3 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dave Bowden will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Davis, 89, died Sunday, July 5, 1992, at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1902, in Starkville, Miss., daughter of Henry Harrison and Ellen Vaughn. She married Frank Davis, who died in 1937.
Davis worked at Freeman Department Store more than 20 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Royal Neighbors of America, and Charleston Order of Eastern Star 122.
Survivors include a son, Frank Davis of the home; a brother, Charles Vaughn of Bassett, Ark., and a sister, Birdie Stillings of Raymond, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
