OLMSTED, Ill. -- Annie Elizabeth Barnes, 89, of Cole Camp, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
She was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Louisville, Ky., daughter of Charles Andrew and Elizabeth Caroline Bornwasser Simpson. She and James P. Barnes were married in September 1931 in Olmsted. He died Dec. 3, 1992.
Barnes worked 10 years at Nazarene Publishing House in Kansas City, Mo. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Olmsted.
Survivors include two daughters, Mabel Lawson of Windsor, Mo., Shirley Braun of Pass Christian, Miss.; two sons, Kenneth and Ronald Barnes of Pass Christian; a sister, Sophia Neeley of Olmsted; seven grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, two brothers and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Cole Camp Cemetery.
