SIKESTON, Mo. -- Annell L. Jones, 92, of Sikeston died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Miner Nursing Center. She was born April 12, 1911, in Marion County, Ala., daughter of Charley W. and Autie Nelson Lambert. She and William W. Jones were married Feb. 13, 1927, in Winston County, Ala. He died Oct. 4, 1995...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Annell L. Jones, 92, of Sikeston died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born April 12, 1911, in Marion County, Ala., daughter of Charley W. and Autie Nelson Lambert. She and William W. Jones were married Feb. 13, 1927, in Winston County, Ala. He died Oct. 4, 1995.

Jones was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Gene Jones of Sikeston; three brothers, Lecil Lambert, Buddy Lambert and Doyle Lambert, all of Sikeston; two sisters, Maxine White of Wynn, Ark., Lugenia Bass of Santa Ana, Calif.; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
