Annabell Thiele

UNION, Mo. -- Annabell Thiele, 80, of Union, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at St. Clair Nursing Home in St. Clair, Mo.

She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in St. Louis, daughter of L.D. and Anna M. Jones Cornman.

She married Donald Avery Thiele on July 28, 1942 in Hope, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2003.

She was of the Lutheran faith. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a member of the Missouri Extension Club. She was a longtime resident of Cape Girardeau before retiring in Cape Coral, Fla., and then moving to Union. She thoroughly enjoyed boating, playing cards and bowling.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald Gene Thiele and wife, Kay of Union, Steven Donald Thiele and wife, Tammy, of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Thiele of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Thiele of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
