She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Perry County, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Sauer Rellergert. She and Robert A. Wibbenmeyer were married on May 7, 1955. Anna J. Wibbenmeyer, 90, formerly of Apple Creek, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006,, at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Perry County, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Sauer Rellergert. She and Robert A. Wibbenmeyer were married on May 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1992.

Wibbenmeyer worked at the family-owned Wibbenmeyer Mercantile in Apple Creek. She was also a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Apple Creek and the St. Joseph Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Daniel Emmendorfer of Cape Girardeau; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judilynn Wibbenmeyer of Uniontown, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Angie Brian Emmendorfer and Gregory and Justin Wibbenmeyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Felix, Alphonse, Hugo, Tony and Gus Rellergert, and sisters, Mary Leiwe, Barbara Rellergert and Rose Buchheit.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, Moo. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be at the St. Michael's Cemetery in Apple Creek.

The family requests memorials be sent to St. Joseph Church or the American Cancer Society.
