ANNA UELSMANN

Anna Julia Uelsmann, 93, of Wheaton, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at DuPage County Convalescent Center. She was born March 15, 1904, at Commerce, daughter of Henry C. and Rosa Bretzel Koch. She and Alfred E. Uelsmann were married in 1926. He died June 30, 1964...

Anna Julia Uelsmann, 93, of Wheaton, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at DuPage County Convalescent Center.

She was born March 15, 1904, at Commerce, daughter of Henry C. and Rosa Bretzel Koch. She and Alfred E. Uelsmann were married in 1926. He died June 30, 1964.

Survivors include a son, William Uelsmann of Bloomingdale, Ill.; a sister, Ella Darby of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Formerly of Cape Girardeau, Uelsmann did extensive volunteer work at Southeast Missouri Hospital, and had been active in organizations at St. Andrew Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran Churches.

A private memorial service will be held in Wheaton. Interment will be later at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
