Anna Scowden

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Anna Scowden, 83, of Advance died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born May 26, 1924, in Brezova, Czechoslovakia, daughter of John and Elizabeth Bzduch Klimek. She and Cleo W. Scowden were married July 12, 1969, at Gordonville. He died Jan. 24, 1991...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Anna Scowden, 83, of Advance died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born May 26, 1924, in Brezova, Czechoslovakia, daughter of John and Elizabeth Bzduch Klimek. She and Cleo W. Scowden were married July 12, 1969, at Gordonville. He died Jan. 24, 1991.

Scowden retired as a supervisor from Zenith Television Co. in Chicago. She attended Slovak Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

A graveside service will be held today at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance was in charge of arrangements.
