PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Anna May Ruessler, 85, of Perryville died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Perry County, daughter of Firmin George and Stella Evelyn Gibbar Mattingly. She and Wilbur Francis Ruessler were married Sept. 24, 1935. He died June 11, 1995.
Ruessler was a top stitcher at a shoe factory. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, Mo.
Survivors include three sons, Walter Ruessler of Arnold, Mo., Paul and David Ruessler of Perryville; three daughters, Betty Andrews of St. Louis, Loretta Hyde of St. Mary's, Mo., and Shirley Geile of Perryville.
Also surviving are two brothers, Harold Mattingly of St. Mary's, Elmer Mattingly of Crystal City, Mo.; four sisters, Gertrude Terbrak and Lillian Zahner of Brewer, Mo., Agnes Bohnert and Jean Hunt of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. The wake is at 7 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church in Highland. The Rev. Robert Brockland will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
