ANNA MONTGOMERY

Funeral service for Anna May Montgomery of Cape Girardeau will be held at 3 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate.

Friends may call at the chapel from 1 p.m. to service time.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 27 at Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter.

Montgomery, 92, died Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1904, in Cannibal, N.D., daughter of William C. and Della M. McKnight Dieckman. She and Lewis E. Montgomery were married Oct. 21, 1936. He died in 1978.

Montgomery attended Dexter Schools, Agnes Scott College for Women in Decatur, Ga., and Washington University in St. Louis. She taught two years at Hancock High School in St. Louis County, and six years at Douglas, Ariz., High School.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Dexter. She moved to Cape Girardeau 15 years ago from Dexter.
