Anna Mae Whitledge
Anna Mae Whitledge, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1917, in Gallatin, Tenn., daughter of Jacob and Effie (Bailey) Vance. She and James L. Whitledge were married Aug. 8, 1944, in Gallatin. He died April 14, 1998.
She was a member of VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary.
Whitledge is survived by two grandchildren, Billy Romack of Cape Girardeau and Tammy Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ill., and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
