Anna Louise McAmis, 86, 3120 Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1992, at Chateau Girardeau Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1906, in Athens, Tenn., daughter of Joseph and Lyda Hicks Miller. She married Zenas McAmis Sept. 15, 1930. He died in 1985.
McAmis graduated from Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. She lived in Sikeston from 1932 until moving to Cape Girardeau in 1984. She worked at Sikeston Public Library a number of years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church there.
Survivors include a son, Edwin McAmis of New York City; a daughter, Ann Taylor of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be at noon Monday at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There is no visitation or service here.
