CAIRO, Ill. - Anna L. Garris, 66, of Cairo, died Thursday, Sept. 17, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Rover, Ark., to Clyde L. and Lenola G. McCain Parks.
She is survived by two sons: Carl Helt of Cairo, and Bill Helt of St. Louis; two half-sisters, Annie Burrow of Portageville and Pat Cunningham of Kennett, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
There will be no visitation. The body was donated to the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m., at St. Patrick's Church in Cairo, with the Rev. Father Jerome Fortenberry serving as celebrant.
