GLENNON, Mo. -- Anna Marie Horrell, 83, of Glennon died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1920, at Leopold, Mo., daughter of Herman Bernard and Mary Cecilia Nenninger Wubker. She and Leo Horrell were married March 20, 1944.
Horrell had weighed cotton, was a domestic worker, and did riveting work on aircraft during World War II. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Bollinger County Historical Society, and had been a local election official.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Aaron Horrell of Chaffee, Mo., Dennis and Joe Horrell of Marble Hill, Mo.; six daughters, Bernice Springer and Judy Sander of Jackson, Shirley Schott of Millersville, Gladys Hency of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Engelen of Leopold, Mo., Kateri Ruch of Daisy; three brothers, Frank Wubker of Cape Girardeau, Sylvester Wubker of St. Peters, Mo., Alphonse Wubker of Wentzville, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 6.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
