Anna M. Louise Hopkins, 89, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Otis and Daisy Stroder Allen. She and James Hopkins were married Nov. 6, 1970. He passed away April 2, 1976.
Anna was a 1951 graduate of Lutesville High School. She worked in accounting and retail sales during her lifetime. Anna was an organist for the Marble Hill Methodist Church and previously at Bertrand Methodist Church in Sikeston.
Loving survivors include two nieces, Veronica L. Kirk of Jackson and Laverne (Jim) Sanders of Sikeston; and two nephews, Allen (Ann) Sebaugh of St. Charles, Missouri, and Gene O. Allen of Ozark, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Clifford Allen; and a sister, Jessie (Jer Lee) Sebaugh.
Per Anna's request she was cremated.
McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
A private graveside service at Russell Heights Cemetery will be held at a later date.
