Anna Marie Hickam, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at LifeCare Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Edward E. and Olga Sperling Kasten.
Anna was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, where she was baptized and confirmed. She enjoyed volunteering at several activities at the church. Anna worked for J.C. Penney Co., retiring in 2000, after 24 years. She also enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.
Loving survivors include three children, Beverly Hickam of Cape Girardeau, Danny Hickam of Bloomsdale, Missouri, and Nancy Karg of Cape Girardeau; brother, Jerry (Ruth) Kasten of Cape Girardeau; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn (Wade) Blair, and a brother, Eugene (Joan) Kasten.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church (general fund) in Cape Girardeau.
