PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Anna Katherine Dippold Hedge, 74, of Perryville was called to her eternal home Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011.
Anna Kay was born June 22, 1936, in Idaho Springs, Colo., fourth daughter of the late Victor and Margaret Edwards Johnson.
Survivors include five children, Norman (Cathy) Dippold, David Dippold, Lynette (Eric) Hoog, Ronda Dippold (fiance David Ash) and Brenda (Tom) Burford; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is her husband, Delmer Hedge; nine stepchildren, Delmer Jr., Cindy, Debbie, Ricky, Connie, Gordy, Becky, Jody, and Stacey Hedge; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
Anna Kay was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Gertrude Lingo, Lenore Dickinson, June Whitnack; and a stepson, Michael Hedge.
Anna Kay grew up in the Baptist faith in Idaho Springs. She later moved to Amarillo, Texas, where she met and married Herbert Dippold. They moved to Perryville to work the family farm, and custom baled hay 24 years. During this time she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She later married Delmer Hedge of Perryville.
She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, wildlife and the outdoors.
We want to thank everyone who attended Anna Kay's memorial service Wednesday, March 2, 2011, and also those who were not able to attend but hold her in their hearts. We thank you for being a part of her life here on earth. She lives on in her legacy of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on forever.
At the time of her passing, her faith and love for Christ was strong and she was prepared to go home.
Memorials may be given to a veterans affiliation, animal shelter or Christian church of your choosing.
